SANDRA JOSEPH
Keynote Speaker, Bestselling Author
Record-Breaking Broadway Star
Many speakers can deliver value, but few can elevate an event to the level of mastery.
“Have you ever had the privilege of being in the room and watching a master in action –
someone who is the best in the world at what they do?
Did you ever have a chance to see Michael Jordan play basketball – in person?
Did you ever have a chance to see someone like Poet Laureate W. S. Merwin share their lyrical poetry – in person?
Did you ever have a chance to see your favorite author read their work – in person?
Well, that’s what you’re going to have a chance to do when you see Sandra Joseph.
You get to see someone who has achieved something in their profession no one else has.
I’m not exaggerating. Sandra has done something no one else in the world has done.
Sandra’s riveting, take-you-behind-the-scenes keynote is a one-of-a-kind opportunity.”
-Sam Horn, Founder/CEO Intrigue Agency
*Nowadays, job titles, skill sets, and credentials simply aren’t enough. People are aching for authenticity, sincerity, and empathy; they need to know you’re genuinely invested in them.
(*This is one of the central themes of my keynote.)
Whether I’m singing over Zoom for 20 people at a virtual client appreciation event or keynoting for thousands in a 5-star hotel ballroom – my heartfelt intention is the same: I’m here to play my part in creating meaningful change for good.
Here’s how I do it:
Like a memorable theater piece, my keynote immediately engages the audience’s attention using the power of story.
The stories lead into songs (attendees do not know that I’m going to be singing, so it comes as a goose-bump-inducing surprise).
The songs crack hearts wide open as only music can. And POW:
We create the ideal conditions for change.
Humans are emotional beings. When hearts are open, we process information differently. Our inner voice speaks. The messages we most need to hear land.
For 10 years, I was in a show about a man who wears a mask.
It didn’t take long for me to realize:
We all wear masks.
In my presentation, I talk about my own masks and how learning to live without them brought me not only success, but meaning, purpose, and fulfillment.
We look at the masks we wear at work and in life, how we can take them off, stand in our power, and deepen our connections.
At a certain level, everyone is talented, everyone has amazing products and services. So, what separates you from the competition? Your individuality and uniqueness, your unmasked essence, and the inimitable power of your authentic voice.
There’s a rule in musical theater: Always end on a high note. During my keynote, I reveal that I married my Phantom costar, actor Ron Bohmer.
As a bring-the-house-down SURPRISE FINALÉ, I invite my husband–the Phantom—to join me onstage (or Zoom screen) for a heart-thumping duet. We sing the famed Phantom of the Opera title song and end on a (very) high note.
(Wanna see a clip of us in action? Go to 9:25 in my speaker reel above.)
One thing that makes me most proud is when clients tell me that even though I’m on stage for less than an hour, my presentation affects their event overall. As your opening speaker, we’ll have attendees wide open and heart-level receptive to everything else they’ll hear during the meeting. And as your closing keynote, we’ll send them off exhilarated, enthused, and eager to go out and create change.
We can literally make your event sing.
Let’s do it together.
Without a doubt, being “Broadway’s longest-running leading lady” gave me an unfair advantage when I started out in the speaking industry. But I wouldn’t have made it past those first few clients if all I did was rely on my resume.
As a Broadway performer, being AUDIENCE-centric is in my DNA. That’s why when we work together, we start with a conversation. I learn about your event and your company. What are the challenges your attendees are facing? What result, if I were to deliver it, would make you say at the end of my keynote, “That was exactly what we needed to take us to the next level!”

“Sandra Joseph was a keynote speaker for our Playfair Inc. virtual company retreat. Our group LOVED her presentation and were fascinated by her story of overcoming adversity on her journey to becoming a Broadway star. Many of our people commented to me about how relevant Sandra’s presentation was to their own lives, and how inspired they were to start their own “perspective box” to support them through the upcoming challenges of their own journey through life.
When Sandra started to sing, the most amazing thing happened— many of our people ran out of their Zoom squares and returned with their spouses or friends or parents in tow. I’ve never seen anything like it! It was a joy to see everyone so moved that they wanted to share this “work” experience with their families at home!”
Matt Weinstein – President Playfair, Inc.
“I cannot even begin to tell you how fabulous Sandra was in kicking off the conference. Everybody loved her. And having Ron join her just put the presentation over the top! We all believe this is the best conference to date. The feedback we have received has been overwhelming.”
Marcie Hochhauser – East Bay Women’s Conference
