"Don't worry that your talent won't be equal to the task.  Actually, feeling inadequate to the task you're asked to do seems to be a spiritual prerequisite."  Sarah Ban Breathnach

Dear Friends,

How wonderful that we can meet each other through this web site.  I must tell you how much I love receiving your lovely email messages.  It seems that each time I want to throw the pages of my book into the fireplace, someone writes and tells me that they've been inspired to face their fears after hearing about mine.  It always helps me to press on, no matter how stuck or frustrated I am.

Writing a book is harder than singing and acting.  And getting one published?  Well, let me just say that landing a leading role on Broadway was a breeze compared to the challenge I'm facing now.  Yet, I feel strongly that this is what I'm supposed to be doing next.  So, onward I go.

I know that many of you feel a deep longing to pursue some seemingly unattainable dream.  After realizing my own childhood dream of becoming an actress, it is now my deepest desire to stand behind you and give you a gentle push.  When you feel like quitting, I want to whisper in your ear, "It's okay to be scared...just take the step that's right in front of you...and then the next...and the next..."

You keep moving forward through your fears and so will I.  Remember, most of what we fear is not based in reality.  Our fears have no form other than that which we give them in the depths of our own (often deeply destructive) mind.

The next time you find yourself suffering with self-doubt and "who do you think you are?" thoughts, ask yourself if your fear is reality based or merely (I have to say it) a phantom.

Stay Strong,

Sandra
